Introduction to permissions
Permissions control what a team member can do in the Webfactory Hub and in the products they use. This guide explains how the main parts fit together.
Two levels of permission
- Hub permissions control account-level areas such as billing, account settings and team management.
- Product permissions control actions inside a particular website, Webshop or other product. These are managed separately for each product.
For examples, read What is the difference between Hub permissions and product permissions?.
Access, seats and permissions
A product seat gives a team member access to a product; permissions control what they can do there. Read What is the difference between permissions and seat allocations? for details.
Choose how permissions are assigned
Basic permissions mode uses fixed administrator and standard access. Advanced permissions mode lets you tailor permissions for individuals or groups. Use the linked guide to choose or change your mode.
Administrators and team members with Manage team members and groups can manage permissions. Only administrators can grant or remove administrator access.
