How to allocate seats through Product management

Use Product management to allocate seats and give team members access to one product. Each person with access uses one seat.

You need administrator access or the relevant account and team-management permissions. Read What does the Manage account, billing and upgrading Hub permission allow? and What does the Manage team members and groups Hub permission allow?.

First add the person as a team member if they do not already exist. See How to add a new team member in the Hub.

Step 1

From the Hub, select your profile picture in the top-right corner.

Select Account & billing.

Step 3

Select Product management.

Step 4

If products are grouped by type, expand the relevant group to view the products.

Step 5

Find the product and review its Seat usage.

Step 6

Select Manage product beside the product to open its product page. Under Your plan includes, select Manage team member seat allocation.

Step 7

Find the team member you want to give access to. Team members with allocated seats are shown first.

Step 8

Select Allocate seat beside the team member. If a seat is available, this assigns it immediately without a confirmation prompt. Check that the team member now shows Seat allocated and that Seat usage has updated.

Step 9

Repeat for any other team members, then select Back to manage product to return to the product page or Back to Product management to return to the product list.

Allocating a seat gives the team member access to the product. Seat allocation itself does not change the product's subscription.

If no seats are available, free an unused seat using the removal guide in the related articles, or review the product's subscription options before allocating another seat.
