How to set up Webfactory Mail on your iPad
The specific steps may slightly vary depending on the version of IpadOS you are using. If you encounter any difficulties during the setup process, please contact Webfactory or Apple support.
First, locate and tap on the 'Settings' app on your iPad home screen.
Scroll down and tap on 'Mail'.
Tap on 'Accounts'.
Tap on 'Add Account'.
Tap on 'Other' (located at the bottom).
Tap on 'Add Mail Account'.
On the New Account screen, provide the following information:
- Name: Your name (this is the name that will appear in the 'From' field of your emails).
- Email: Your full email address.
- Password: The password for your email account.
- Description: A personal description of the account (this can be anything you like and will help you distinguish this account from any others you have added to your iPad).
Tap 'Next'.
Under the 'Incoming Mail Server' section, enter the following details:
- Host Name: mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk.
- Username: Your full email address.
- Password: The password for your email account.
Scroll down to the 'Outgoing Mail Server' section, and enter the following details:
- Host Name: mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk
- Username: Your full email address.
- Password: The password for your email account.
After filling out both 'Incoming' and 'Outgoing' mail servers, tap 'Next'.
Your iPad will now verify your email account settings. This process may take a few moments.
Ensure 'IMAP' is selected at the top and that the email address shows correctly in the 'IMAP Path Prefix' box.
If everything is filled out correctly, tap 'Save'.
Your email account should now be successfully added to your iPad, and you can access it via the Mail app.
Always keep your password secure and confidential. Regularly changing it is also recommended for security reasons.
