How to add your Webfactory Mail account to Outlook for Windows
In this article, we'll guide you through the steps of setting up your IMAP email account from webfactory.co.uk
on your PC using Microsoft Outlook.
The specific steps may slightly vary depending on the version of Outlook you are using. If you encounter any difficulties during the setup process, please contact your email provider or Microsoft support.
- Open Microsoft Outlook on your PC.
- Add new email account
- If this is your first time using Outlook, you'll see a prompt to set up an email account. If you're already using Outlook with another account, navigate to 'File' > 'Add account'.
- Enter Your email information
- On the 'Account Setup' screen, click on 'Advance options', select 'Let me setup my account manually'.
- Enter the email address provided by Webfactory.
- Then click on the 'Connect' button.
- On the next screen, select 'IMAP'.
- Server and log-on information
- On the 'IMAP Account Settings' screen, fill in the following details:
- Incoming Server information
- Incoming mail server:
mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk
- Incoming server port box: 993 (or 143)
- Encryption method: Select SSL/TLS
- Tick the require 'Log-on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)' box.
- Incoming mail server:
- Outgoing Server information
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP):
mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk
- Outgoing server port box: 465
- Encryption method: Select SSL/TLS
- Tick the require 'Log-on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)' box.
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP):
- Click 'Next'.
- Enter the password for your email account.
- Click on the 'Connect' button.
- If the test is successful, click 'Done'. If not, you will be prompted to re-enter your settings.
Your email account should now be successfully added to Microsoft Outlook on your PC, and you can access it from the Mail pane.
Always keep your password secure and confidential. Regularly changing it is also recommended for security reasons.
