How to set up a custom domain name for your knowledge base
In this article, we'll guide you through the steps of setting up a custom domain name for your knowledge base.
If your domain is registered with an external host, follow the steps below. If Webfactory hosts the domain, use the 'Points to' setting in the Domain, Email and Hosting Manager and select your Knowledge Base instead.
Click on the 'Settings' tab.
Navigate to the 'Custom web address' section.
Click on the 'Change' button.
Select Use your own domain and type the full domain name you wish to use, such as: www.yourdomain.co.uk.
Click the 'Update address' button. A new message box will appear showing the DNS records you need to add or update. You can typically make these changes yourself through your domain host's control panel. Alternatively, you can provide the records to its support team, which may update them for you.
After making the changes, it may take a few hours for them to take effect, during which time your knowledge base may be temporarily unavailable.
