How to add your Webfactory Mail account to the Windows Outlook app

In this article, we'll guide you through the steps of setting up your IMAP email account from webfactory.co.uk on your PC using Microsoft Outlook app for Window.

The specific steps may slightly vary depending on the version of the Outlook app you are using. If you encounter any difficulties during the setup process, please contact your email provider or Microsoft support.

  1. Open the Microsoft Outlook app on your PC. If it’s not already installed, download and install it from the Microsoft App Store.
  2. Add new email account
    • If this is your first time using the Outlook app, you'll see a prompt to set up an email account. If you're already using the Outlook app with another account, navigate to 'File' > 'Setting' > 'Account' > 'Add account'.
  3. Enter Your email information
    • Enter the email address provided by Webfactory.
    • If IMAP is not selected, click on 'Choose provider' and select 'IMAP'.
    • Then, click 'Show more'.
    • Enter your password.
  4. Server and log-on information
    • On the 'IMAP Account Settings' section, fill in the following details:
    • Incoming Server information
      • Incoming mail server: mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk.
      • Incoming server port box: 993 (or 143)
      • Encryption method: Select SSL/TLS
    • Outgoing Server information
      • Enter your email address.
      • Enter your password if not automatically filled in.
      • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk.
      • Outgoing server port box: 465
      • Encryption method: Select SSL/TLS
    • Click 'Continue'.
    • You'll then be asked to sync your IMAP account, click 'Continue'.
  5. If the test is successful, click 'Done'. If not, you will be prompted to re-enter your settings.

Your email account should now be successfully added to Microsoft Outlook app on your PC.

Always keep your password secure and confidential. Regularly changing it is also recommended for security reasons.
