How to link 'External links' to your Knowledge base content

In this article, we'll guide you through the steps of adding external links to your knowledge base content.

Step 1

Click on the 'Content' tab.

Step 2

Find the article you wish to link external links to.

Step 3

Click on the relevant 'Text content' box within the 'Article'.

Step 4

Locate where you would like to insert the link. Highlight the text you want to link, then click the link icon , or simply click the icon without highlighting text.

Step 5

Under 'Link type', select 'External link'.

Step 6

Type or copy/paste the external link URL. Note: If you insert a link without first highlighting any text, it may sometimes be added in the following format: [https://externallink.co.uk=https://externallink.co.uk], If this happens, simply replace the first URL with the text you want to display. For example: [Your Text=https://externallink.co.uk]

Step 7

Click the 'Update link' button to apply the changes.

Find the article you wish to link 'External links' to.

Click on the relevant 'Text content' box within the 'Article'.

Locate where you want to place the link.

Step 5

Use [Text=https://externallink.co.uk] to create a link.

Click on the 'Update' button to save your content.
