How to add formatting to your content

When writing content for your website, you can incorporate text formatting using the website editor. You'll find a brief guide within the editor's interface. By clicking on the icon , you can access a list of commands to apply formatting to your text.

Adding headings

Add *** at the start and end of the text.

Adding sub headings

Add ** at the start and end of the text.

Make text bold

Add a single * at the start and end of the text.

Make text italic

Add _ at the start and end of the text.

Adding links to external websites

Add links like this [Text=Link address]. Don't forget the http or https.

Adding links to pages on your own site

To add link to pages on your site use this [Link text=#page:PageID#]. You can find page ids at the top of each page when editing or in your page list in the pages section in the website editor.

Adding links to files in your file store

To link to files in your file store, use this [Link text=#file:FileID#] . You can find file ids in your file store list within the website editor.

Make links into buttons

Use double brackets [[Link text=Link address]] to make the link into a button.

Make links and buttons open in a new tab

Use curly brackets {Link text=Link address} instead of square brackets to make your links or buttons open in a new tab.

Adding bullet lists

To add a bullet list add > before each line of the list. You can add more than one > to create a hierarchy.

To add a numbered list add # before each line of the list. You can add more than one # to create a hierarchy.
