How to set up Webfactory Mail on Windows

The specific steps may slightly vary depending on the version of the Outlook you are using. If you encounter any difficulties during the setup process, please contact your email provider or Microsoft support.

Step 1

Open Microsoft Outlook 365 on your PC.

Step 2

If this is your first time using Outlook 365, you'll see a prompt to set up an email account. If you're already using Outlook with another account, navigate to 'File' > 'Add account'.

Step 3

On the 'Account Setup' screen, click on 'Advance options', select 'Let me setup my account manually'.

Step 4

Enter the email address provided by Webfactory.

Step 5

Then click on the 'Connect' button.

Step 6

On the next screen, select 'IMAP'.

Step 7

Incoming Server information

    1. Incoming mail server: mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk
    2. Incoming server port box: 993 (or 143)
    3. Encryption method: Select SSL/TLS
    4. Tick the require 'Log-on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)' box.
Step 8

Outgoing Server information

    1. Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk
    2. Outgoing server port box: 465
    3. Encryption method: Select SSL/TLS
    4. Tick the require 'Log-on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)' box.
Step 9

Click 'Next'.

Step 10

Enter the password for your email account.

Step 11

Click on the 'Connect' button.

Step 12

If the test is successful, click 'Done'. If not, you will be prompted to re-enter your settings.

Your email account should now be successfully added to Microsoft Outlook 365 on your PC, and you can access it from the Mail pane.

Step 1

Open the Microsoft Outlook app on your PC. If it’s not already installed, download and install it from the Microsoft App Store.

Step 2

If this is your first time using the Outlook app, you'll see a prompt to set up an email account. If you're already using the Outlook app with another account, navigate to 'File' > 'Setting' > 'Account' > 'Add account'.

Step 3

Enter the email address provided by Webfactory.

Step 4

If IMAP is not selected, click on 'Choose provider' and select 'IMAP'.

Step 5

Then, click 'Show more'.

Step 6

Enter your password.

Step 7

Server and log-on information

    1. Incoming mail server: mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk.
    2. Incoming server port box: 993 (or 143)
    3. Encryption method: Select SSL/TLS
Step 8

Outgoing Server information

    1. Enter your email address.
    2. Enter your password if not automatically filled in.
    3. Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk.
    4. Outgoing server port box: 465
    5. Encryption method: Select SSL/TLS
Step 9

Click 'Continue'.

Step 10

You'll then be asked to sync your IMAP account, click 'Continue'.

Step 11

If the test is successful, click 'Done'. If not, you will be prompted to re-enter your settings.

Your email account should now be successfully added to Microsoft Outlook app on your PC.

Always keep your password secure and confidential. Regularly changing it is also recommended for security reasons.
