How to set up Webfactory Mail on iPhone

Please note: The steps below may vary slightly depending on your iPhone model and the version of iOS you are using.

Step 1

If it's the first time adding an email on your Iphone, find and tap the 'Mail' app.

    1. Enter your email address, then click 'Next'.
    2. On the 'Choose your provider screen' select 'Other Mail Account'.
    3. Continue to step 3.
Step 2

If you already have an email account, follow the steps below.

    1. First, locate and tap on the 'Settings' app on your iPhone home screen.
    2. Scroll down and tap on 'Apps'.
    3. Scroll down and tap on 'Mail'.
    4. Tap on 'Mail Accounts' or 'Accounts'.
    5. Tap on 'Add Account'.
    6. Tap on 'Other'.
    7. Tap on 'Add Mail Account'.
Step 3

On the New Account screen, provide the following information:

    1. Name: your name (this is the name that will appear in the 'From' field of your emails).
    2. Email: your full email address.
    3. Password: the password for your email account.
    4. Description: a personal description of the account (this can be anything you like and will help you distinguish this account from any others you have added to your iPhone).
Step 4

Tap 'Next'.

Step 5

If not already selected, select 'IMAP' at the top of your screen.

Step 6

Under the 'Incoming Mail Server' section, enter the following details:

    1. Host Name: mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk
    2. Username: your full email address.
    3. Password: the password for your email account.
Step 7

Scroll down to the 'Outgoing Mail Server' section, and enter the following details:

    1. Host Name: mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk
    2. Username: your full email address.
    3. Password: the password for your email account.
Step 8

After filling out both 'Incoming' and 'Outgoing' mail servers, tap 'Next'.

    1. Your iPhone will now verify your email account settings. This process may take a few moments.
    2. If the following message appears 'Cannot Connect Using SSL', click 'Yes'.
    3. If everything is filled out correctly, all settings should get a blue tick.
Step 9

If you have 'Passkey' enabled on your Iphone, you might be prompt to choose to save your password.

Step 10

On the next screen tap 'Save'.

Your email account should now be successfully added to your iPhone, and you can access it via the Mail app.

Step 1

If you haven’t already, download the Microsoft Outlook app from the App Store.

Step 2

Open the Microsoft Outlook app on your iPhone.

Step 3

If you don’t have an account set up yet, you’ll be prompted to add one. If you already have an account, tap your profile image at the top of the screen.

Step 4

Select 'Add Account'.

Step 5

Enter your Webfactory email address and tap 'Add Account'.

Step 6

Choose 'IMAP' on the 'Select your email' provider screen, if not automatically redirected to the IMAP account settings already.

    1. Enter your Webfactory email address again and tap 'Add Account'.
    2. Type the name you wish to be displayed on your sent messages.
    3. Optionally you can describe what the account is for in the 'Description' section e.g. Work.
Step 7

In the 'IMAP Incoming Email Server settings' section.

    1. In the IMAP Hostname filed, type mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk
    2. In the Port section, enter 993.
    3. For Security type, select SSL.
    4. In 'IMAP Username', enter your full email address if not already displayed.
    5. Enter your password.
Step 8

In the outgoing mail server settings.

    1. In the SMTP Hostname field, type mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk
    2. In the Port section, enter 465.
    3. For Security type, select SSL.
    4. In 'IMAP Username', enter your full email address if not already displayed.
    5. Enter your password again.
Step 9

Tap 'Sign In'.

Step 10

You'll then be notified about how Outlook uses your data. When you've finished going through the privacy settings, click 'Next'.

Step 11

You'll be redirected to a new page asking you about additional diagnostic and data. You can either 'Accept' or 'Decline' .

Step 12

When your privacy settings have all been set up, click on 'Continue to Outlook'.

Step 13

Depending on your IOS version you might be asked if you wish to save your password with 'Passkey'.

Step 14

You might be asked if you wish to add another Outlook account, if not continue the process by clicking 'Maybe later'.

Step 15

Before accessing your email account you may be asked if you'd like to enable notifications from Outlook on your Iphone.

You should now have access to your Webfactory email in the Microsoft Outlook app for Iphone.

Step 1

If you haven’t already, download the Gmail app from the App Store.

Step 2

Open the Gmail app on your iPhone.

Step 3

If you don’t have an account set up yet, you’ll be prompted to add one. If you already have an account, tap your profile image at the top of the screen.

Step 4

Select 'Add another account'.

Step 5

Choose 'Other (IMAP)'.

Step 6

Enter your Webfactory email address.

Step 7

You should now be redirected to the incoming mail server settings.

    1. Enter your password.
    2. In the IMAP Server field, type mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk
    3. In the Port section, enter 993.
    4. For Security type, select SSL/TLS.
    5. Tap 'Next'.
Step 8

In the outgoing mail server settings.

    1. Enter your password again (if not displayed already).
    2. In the SMTP Server field, type mailserver1.webfactory.co.uk
    3. In the Port section, enter 465.
    4. For Security type, select SSL/TLS.
    5. Tap 'Next'.
Step 9

Choose a name you wish to be displayed on your sent messages and tap 'Next'.

You should now have access to your Webfactory email in the Gmail app.

Always keep your password secure and confidential. Regularly changing it is also recommended for security reasons.
