What is a Google product feed upgrade?

The Google product feed upgrade creates a product data feed from your Webshop for Google Merchant Center. The feed can include product names, descriptions, prices and availability, helping you keep information used by Google Shopping and other Google services up to date without repeatedly uploading files by hand.

Why choose this upgrade?

Keeping product information in Google Merchant Center in sync manually can be time-consuming and prone to errors. This upgrade can help you:

  • keep product details such as prices and availability up to date,
  • reduce manual product data uploads,
  • lower the risk of Google receiving outdated information,
  • manage frequently changing products more efficiently.

What happens when I upgrade?

Once the setup is complete, we'll provide a product feed URL for your website. You can add this URL as a product data source in Google Merchant Center and ask Google to retrieve it on a schedule.

How to request the Google product feed upgrade

Step 1

In the website editor, go to the 'Upgrades' tab.

Step 2

Select 'Google product feed'.

Step 3

Review the terms and conditions, then click 'Add now'.

Step 4

A confirmation pop-up will appear.

Step 5

We'll send you an email once your request has been processed and your Google product feed is set up.

What do we need to set this up?

You'll need:

  • access to your Google Merchant Center account, or a new account if you do not already have one,
  • the product feed URL that we provide,
  • permission to add the URL as a product data source in Google Merchant Center.

Google currently manages product feeds under 'Data sources'. Select 'Add product source', choose 'Add products from a file' and enter the feed URL. Follow Google's prompts to confirm the retrieval schedule.

Once the data source is set up, Google can retrieve updated product information from the feed automatically.
