How to request access to a product in the Hub

In this article, we'll guide you through requesting access to a product in the Hub.

If you do not have access to a product, you can send a request to an available access manager. They will receive a Hub notification and an email asking them to review your request.

Product access uses a seat. Permissions control what you can do inside the product. Read What is the difference between permissions and seat allocations?.

Step 1

Select Request access when this option is shown for a product you cannot open.

Step 2

In the Product access dialog, check that you are requesting access to the correct product.

Step 3

Under Send request to, select the access manager you want to send your request to.

Step 4

Enter a Message explaining why you need access. This is required.

Step 5

Select Send access request. To leave without sending the request, select Cancel.

Step 6

You will receive a Hub notification when your request is approved or declined. If approved, you can open the product.

Sending a request does not give you access immediately. Your request must be approved before you can use the product.

Approval gives you the access shown on the request. It does not automatically give you every permission inside the product.

Include the task you need to complete in your message so the access manager can understand why you need access. For instructions on handling incoming requests, see How to review product access requests in the Hub in the related articles.
