How to add a favicon
In this article, we'll guide you through the steps of adding a favicon to your website.
You can add a favicon in two ways: upload your own or request a professionally designed one from our team by choosing our 'Favicon design' upgrade.
First, make sure you have uploaded your favicon file to your 'File store'. If not, you can do so by going to the 'File store' in your website editor and uploading your chosen icon.
Please note that the file must use the .ico format, for example, favicon.ico. Then copy the file's URL by right-clicking on the file and selecting 'Copy link address'.
In the website editor, go to the 'Settings' tab, then click on 'General'.
Find the 'Browser icons' section.
You'll see two options open to you:
Paste your favicon URL into the 'Favicon box'.
Finish the process by updating the settings.
If you choose the 'Favicon design' upgrade, our designers will professionally design a custom favicon from your logo or your company's branding if the logo is not suitable.
In the website editor, go to 'Upgrades'.
Select 'Favicon design'.
Before adding the upgrade, make sure to read the description and our terms and conditions.
Click on the 'Add now' button.
An email will be sent to you confirming your upgrade and letting you know what will happen next.
Once the icon has been designed, we will upload and apply it to your site.
