Favicon stands for 'Favourite icon'. It is a small icon usually representing either the company logo or a company symbol. It appears in browser address bars, bookmarks, tabs, and sometimes in search results, making your website stand out in users' browsers.
At Webfactory, we opted for our company's logo displayed on a small blue square as our favicon.
