What is product access?
In this article, we'll briefly explain what product access is and how it works.
'Product access' decides whether a team member can open a product at all.
To manage product access, click your profile image and select 'Manage team'. Select 'Product access', choose the product, then click 'Manage team members'.
You can grant team members access to your Webfactory products from this page. If the product has a seat limit, you'll also see how many seats are allocated and available. Some products have unlimited access. Click 'Add more seats' only when it is available and you need more.
Only administrators and team members with the 'Manage team members and groups' permission can manage product access.
A product must retain at least one allocated team member.
It's important to understand that product access, Hub permissions and product permissions are managed separately.
- 'Product access' decides whether a team member can open a product at all.
- 'Hub permissions' control what a team member can see and do in the Hub.
- 'Product permissions' control what a team member can do inside a product. Manage these from 'Settings' > 'Team permissions' in that product.
In Basic permissions mode, giving a team member product access also gives them the product's standard non-administrator permissions automatically.
In Advanced permissions mode, product access and the team member's individual and group permissions are managed separately.
Removing product access also removes the team member's direct permissions for that product.
