How to connect your Mailchimp account to your website
In this article, we'll guide you through the steps of integrating Mailchimp with your website.
Once the integration is complete, contacts from your sales and forms will automatically sync with your Mailchimp audience.
- In the website editor, select the 'Settings' tab.
- Click on the 'Mailchimp' section.
- Open another tab in your browser and go to https://mailchimp.com/
- Log into your Mailchimp account (or create a free one).
- Navigate to your profile by clicking on your profile image.
- Select the 'Extra tab', then 'API keys', give a name to your API key and click 'generate'.
- A long chain of number and letter will appear in the box, copy the API key.
- Paste the API key into the 'Webfactory Mailchimp API integration box'.
- Click 'link account'.
- You can now assign the various sources of contact details from your website to your Mailchimp audiences.
Please note, new contact are added in batch each night so you will not see new contacts in your lists until the next day.
If you want to export your Webfactory contact list, you can download your customers’ email data as a CSV file from the website editor and then import it into your Mailchimp contact list.
