How to enable visitor logins for your website

Visitor logins protect your website so only people with a visitor username and password can view it.

Step 1

In Website Manager, open Settings and select Visitor logins.

Step 2

Turn on Enable visitor logins then fill in the required information to customise the text visitors see.

Step 3

Then select Update settings to save the change.

Step 4

In the Visitor logins section, select Add visitor login.

Step 5

Enter the visitor’s Email address (their username). Add a forename and surname if you want to, then enter and confirm a password.

Step 6

Then click Add visitor login.

Step 7

Send the username and password to the visitor securely. The website manager does not send the login details for you.

Step 8

Select Open protected-site preview to check the login page as a visitor would see it. The preview ends automatically after one hour.
