How to add pop-ups to your website

Pop-ups are windows that automatically appear over the main content of a website. They are commonly used to:

  • highlight a promotional offer,
  • collect email addresses,
  • announce a new feature or product,
  • display an important message (legal notice, maintenance update, etc.).

Adding a pop-up

Step 1

From the web editor, go to 'Content'.

Step 2

Click on the 'Pop-up' section.

Step 3

Click the 'Add pop-up' button.

Step 4

Enter a name for your pop-up, then click on the 'Add pop-up' button.

Step 5

You will be redirected to a new configuration window, where you can edit the pop-up just like you would edit a web page.

Step 6

Click 'Pop-up' Settings to choose when and where it appears, and to change the size of the pop-up window.

Step 7

Once finished, click 'Update pop-up' to save your changes.

Step 8

Your pop-up has now been created and assigned a unique ID, which allows you to link it internally to your website content.

How to link a pop-up to your content

After creating your pop-up, you need to link it to an element on your website (such as a page, button, image, or other clickable item). To find out more, read our support article about how to link pop-ups to your website.

  • Avoid overwhelming visitors with too many pop-ups.
