How to update your email account password
In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of changing your email account password.
Before you start, make sure you have your current email address password ready (note that your password will be different from your Webfactory Hub password). If you can't recall it, don't worry; we'll guide you on how to reset it.
There are two different methods for changing your password depending on what type of user you are set up as.
- Via the Webfactory Hub if your are an administrator or have permissions to edit email passwords.
- Via webmail if your are owner of the email account and you know your current password.
If you're are not an administrator or a user with permission to change email passwords via the Hub and have forgotten your password; the only way for you to change your password is to contact one of your administrators who'll be able to do this for you.
Changing email passwords via the Hub as an administrator or as a user with required permissions
- On your Webfactory Hub page, select 'Email, Domain and Hosting'.
- Find the "Email accounts" option and click on it. This will direct you to a list of email accounts associated with your domain.
- Look for the 'change password' box related to the email account you'd like to change the password for. If you do not see this option then you do not have the required permissions to make this change and should contact your administrator.
- You can now save the new password by clicking 'change password'.
Changing your own password via webmail.
- Start by accessing your email account by going to https://webmail.webfactory.co.uk.

Create a strong password by combining upper and lowercase letters, numbers, special characters and a length of at least 8 characters. You should avoid using the same password across your accounts you have with other companies as a breach with one company will make all your accounts insecure.
