How to set up 301 redirects for your website

In this article, we'll guide you through the steps of setting up 301 redirects for your website.

A 301 redirect is a way to redirect a page that you have removed to a new destination.

You might want to do this if you are changing your website's pages or if you had an old site and some of the links no longer exist.

  1. In the website editor, go to 'Settings'.
  2. Click on '301 redirects', then the 'Add new' button.
  3. Fill in the original URL of your page and the redirection URL into their respective boxes.
  4. Complete the process by clicking the 'Add' button.

301 Redirects only work if the original URL is on the same domain as your website, however you can set the destination URL to any address on any domain.

Ensure to use the full URL including any http:// or https://
